Grinding ibook

Hello

My ibook G3 is sick. It randomly starts to make a grinding noise... it sounds like it's in the right side by the mouse. When the grinding noise starts, my computer no longer works, and I have to shut it off. Sometimes it will start grinding as soon as I start the laptop up, sometimes it may work for a couple days before grinding. Does anyone have a clue

It sounds to me that the Hard Drive is beginning to fail.

As soon as possible, you need to back up all the important data on your laptop and then start looking at a replacement hard drive.
