Keyboard

My dog frequently thinks it would be a good idea to walk on my computer while I'm trying to use it. This time, when I pushed her off, she pulled of the Q key. The button itself has one of the hook thingys broken. Will a keyboard listed for a 14" G4 work with a 14" G3? Are the keyboards different sizes for the 12" and 14" iBooks?

I believe they are all the same size. Not sure if the G3 keyboard will work in a G4. The G3s have clear/frosted keys, and the G4s have white keys. But thay might be the only difference.

Why buy a whole new keyboard when you can order just the replacement for the key you need?

Which is easier to do, install a new keyboard or fix the key? I have "fat fingers" and the pieces inside the keys are awfully small. I found a keyboard for my computer on eBay with a buy it now price of $33. I found a replacement key including the two inside pieces for $9. Of course, I'd rather pay $9 than $30.

I've decided to just purchase a replacement key. Can anyone answer my question about the compatibility of the keyboards between 12" and 14" G3 iBooks, though? Also, between G3 and G4 iBooks?

Right, it says that the keys are different in that they are solid white, not translucent. That doesn't mean that they wouldn't work. I have no doubt as to the compatibility of the keys. I am wondering about the compatibility of the keyboard. I actually like the solid white better, and I'm interested in the possiblity of using a solid white keyboard instead.
