Mail toolbar help?

My mail toolbar has randomly disappeared and i can't get it to come back! I go to view-> Show Toolbar but its grayed out. Anyone know what the deal is? I was thinking about deleting the application's settings but im not sure how to do that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
