Is there any way to add words into recording? What I mean is that the only way I know how to edit words into a video is to put them to a black background at the end of a video clip, is ther any way to overlay words right onto the video recording?

Be sure to uncheck the over black option. Then after setting up the text you want. Click and then drag and drop the item (i.e. scrolling menu) on to the clip you want it to affect.
