image editing....

so as of right now im using image tricks for simple editing, but does anyone know of any better image editing software that is freeware, or not so expensive. (i.e. photoshop)

Seashore is a simple photoshop type program. Or you can get Gimp, which is very similar to photoshop.

I would second the recommendation for GIMP.... it is great... and FREE.

To use GIMP... you will need to install X11 from your OS X Install Disc #1..

Inexpensive is Adobe Elements, great little program for the cost.

However, I have to agree with most of the above. The best I am aware of so far is GIMP.
