ibook keyboard shortcuts...

I want to use the 'F' key shortcuts in programmes like Quark and InDesign... currently I have to hold down the 'fn' key (bottom left) to make the F keys work... can I set up my ibook keyboard so I don't have to keep pressing 'fn'? Thanks

go to system prefs and uncheck option that says: Use the F1-F12 keys to control software features
