Hi.
am new to Mac. I need to remove an item from a jpg file. I looked around on the computer but cant find a program that comes with the computer that has that function.

Can it realle be that the Mac doesnt get "born" with such a picture edit program ?

If not, feel free to suggest a simple photo edit program. I dont need anything fancy so Photoshop is too much (and too expensive) for me.

Seashore is a very simple photoshop replacement, that should be able to do what you need to. Its a free download.

You can try GIMP. It is free and pretty complete.

thanks StretchR and Novicew. I downloaded Seahorse. It did the trick. GIMP seems more fancy
