I recently bought a Macbook and an iMac (both intel core 2 duo). I seem to have misplaced my Tiger reinstall discs for the Macbook, but i still have them for the iMac. If something happens and i need to reinstall, can i use the iMac's discs or will that cause some sort of problem?

The install disks that come with the computers are tied to the specific type of computer, i.e. an iMac disk will only work with iMacs, a Macbook disk only a Macbook, etc.

You can either call Apple to see if you can purchase a new install disk, or wait and buy the retail version for Leopard when it's released which would work on any Mac.

It can't be done: install disks are model-specific.
