i have a long hard task of renaming all my files and i'd like them all to be in small caps (just personal preference) - is there any way to do this task with osx 10.4 by ways of selecting a folder and renaming all files at once? perhaps automator .... does anybody know?

for example, i have all my files like this:

Thom Yorke - The Eraser -01- The Eraser.mp3
Thom Yorke - The Eraser -02- Analyse.mp3
Thom Yorke - The Eraser -03- The Clock.mp3

...and i want to rename ALL my files like this:

thom yorke - the eraser -01- the eraser.mp3
thom yorke - the eraser -02- analyse.mp3
thom yorke - the eraser -03- the clock.mp3

...but instead of doing it one by one, is there any hidden function out there that could help me do this with one click? hehe :) i've got plenty of files that need this.

Any input will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It is really easy with the Automator.
1) Open the Automator and select "Rename Finder Items" from Finder Library
2) Press add on the next warning window
3) Rest is self explanatory.

thanks for your responses, but regarding...

it isn't that "easy" or 'self-explanatory" because i tried it a couple of times and nothing made it work...anyone know how to use automator or that can help me with step by step process? ...otherwise i will have to follow Pulse-8's advice. i was hoping it could be done much more simple with automator to avoid the hassle of d/l and installing software.
thanks to all!

Just to add to what Pulse-8 said, here are a few more details:

To enable Applescript usage, go to Utilities folder and start the AppleScript Utility.app. "Select Show Script Menu in menu bar". This places an Applescript scroll icon in the system menu bar. From there, click that icon and select Finder Scripts. You will see the "Change Case of Item Names" there.
