I deleted 50 BG of files today, but there is only a 2 GB difference showing up on my HD...it went from 11 BG to 13 GB...y wont the other 48 GB show up?
Somethings wrong with my harddrive...

This isnt me being sarcastic or anything, but you did empty the trash didnt you?
To empty trash, click and hold the trash icon and go "Empty Trash"

If you did empty the trash, did you restart? Restarting refreshes the Finder info...

i did both of those things...it didnt say 13 GB until i restarted it...

Are you sure you deleted the actual files and not just links to them?
Search for some of the files you deleted in spotlight to check if they are still hanging around somewhere.
