Extract .bin and .iso files?

What program can change .bin files and .iso files into regular files that I can open?

You should be able to mount .iso files as if they were CDs by just double clicking on them.

That will not help me if I want to keep it as a folder of music (for example) to be used by media players. Can I not just convert it to a more ordinary folder of files? I also have a .nrg file which I think is a CD image but that doesn't seem to open with anything. And those .bin files are still getting me. Can't figure out how to open it even though I have the .cue file that accompanies it.
