No display ... loud fan ... ?

iBook G4; 1.07 GHz; 512 MB; Radeon 9200; 40 GB HDD
Turn on the computer, all fans are running at full throttle and there is no display. Checked all video cables and all were plugged in fine. There is power going to the monitor. I shut her down, waited a bit, and brought her back up to only see the same problem. Not sure where to go from here.

Bad power supply?

Are you referring to an external monitor connected to your iBook? Do you see anything on iBook display?

Can you hear the hard drive doing anything? Does it sound like it's booting up?

Have you try using another monitor? or try resetting your video card?

I was talking about a Power Mac; nothing to do with my iBook.

However the issue was resolved... reseating the RAM resolved the issue. Power Macs have 9 system fans which are all ran by the processor. When there is an issue all 9 fans kick on to prevent the mac from overheating. Once the ram was reseated all was fine.
