Thought I'd kick things off for February.

Yesterday there was a crane outside my office window. The air conditioning compressor to our server room died a week or so ago, and it needs to be replaced. The compressor is on the roof of our building, so they needed to put a new one up there for installation this weekend. Until then, we have large fans at the two doors to the server room, making a kind of wind tunnel to keep the machines cool.

The contrast is a bit whimsical. You might notice a little snow in the picture (and salt in the parking lot). Yesterday the temperature ranged from around 10 to 30F (roughly -10 to 0C). This building is 5 years old. There's something wrong about needing to use air conditioning in the winter.

I have a light-hearted, yet serious question. Why is it that the "What have you created this month?" thread allows people to post two images, but we photographers only get one? Why are the photographers getting cheated? :bomb: :black:

Not sure, I'd like to do another myself. I simply copied over the rules from before.

I'm sure you could post a photo you created in the "What have you created this month?" thread...

EDIT: Just had a look and no, you can't:

Please remember this is not the Photo of the Month thread, so do not just post pictures here (they must at least be photoshopped to a degree).

heh. if the a/c went out in my server room it would melt everything in it including us, even in -10F weather. i should take a pic of our cooling towers! or the 16 or so chillers in our server room (the size of a couple minivans stacked upon one another) ;)

i still haven't posted a pic, so, maybe...
