I noticed today in activity monitor that the process "Kernel_Task" is taking up quite bit of memory 132.24MB of RAM and almost 1GB of VRAM. This seems like an awful lot to me. Will some of you MBP guys check it out on yours and post back results? THANKS!!

my kernal task shows 122MB and 979MB respectively (i have a 2.0 ghz cpu and 1.5GB ram). seems normal to me. memory hoggers should only be in my processes not root. crashing apps would show large amount of real and virtual memory in my processes along with a large cpu percentage. Kernel_Task only has a 1-2& cpu for me.
