Hello all..
I have a question. Starting this morning I noticed that the battery icon on my ibook G4 keeps flashing back and forth between the low battery and the charging battery.
It's strange, because it does it like clock work. it will stay in the "charging" status for 5 secs, then act like there is not a power source attached at all.
So I have reset the PMU...that didn't work. I took out the battery and ran the system just with the power cord, and it works fine continuously. But it will not charge the battery.
My first thought was a faulty dc in board, but since it runs without the battery installed, I didn't think that could be the issue.
Any ideas, before I think about buying a new battery?
