BOMArchiveHelper?

I've noticed this program in the right-click menu when I open zip files but what is it? I don't remember installing it and it doesn't turn up in spotlight as an application, I only get a plist. Does anyone know what it is? Coincidentally it's a lot better than stuffit at zips.

BOMArchiveHelper is the default archive file handler in Mac OS X. It is a service application that has no GUI when double-clicked, rather it is invoked by opening its associated files or by choosing "Create archive of 'file'" in the Finder's File or contextual menu. It is located in /System/Library/CoreServices/BOMArchiveHelper.app.
