Disabling Startup programs

I recently installed Stuffit on my powerbook but now when system loads up it loads up the icon on top menu bar. Is it possible to disable it from loading up all together? I do not use it that often that I need it on the menu bar!

Your Mac's Specs
macbook
go to system preferences>accounts - then click login items. Use the minus button to get rid of it.
