What sort of downloading are you talking about? If it's illegal downloading, then you probably shouldn't even bother with this question. You're not going to get an answer here.

IMO, the best one to use is azureus. It works really well for me when I want to deal with torrents. Only deal with legal things of course.

haven't heard of them anyway. Sounds to me like you tried to run .exe files. Make versiontracker for mac your friend.
