20" iMac running HL2

Hey all, this is my first post on this site. I have a question regarding the new Imacs. Has anybody used XP on the new intels and had success running Half Life 2? I'm wondering how the 256mb graphics upgrade works with it too. I've been a mac user for 2 years and an audio designer for 5. So Macs are my way of life (love it). I miss HL2 dearly and want to get it running soon. I'd love to get the imac as space saving desktop and still be able to run xp just for HL2 and steam pretty much. Any thoughts or comments will help me greatly! Thanks!

ye i play counterstrike source all the time, everything set to high with intelcore2duo 20inch

What do you guys use to run XP? Parallels or Boot Camp? I have the 7600GT, 2gigs of ram and 2.33Ghz core duo 2 with the 24" screen so shud be good

Cant wait to get playing it again, especially source.

i use bootcamp, i wouldnt bother with parallels, just do a dual boot with bootcamp, i divided my 250gb equally for both operating systems

Is that at native resolution, ie. 1920x1200?

I've beeen running Battlefield 2 on all high settings with AAx4 and it runs perfectly with my 20" 2.16ghz 256mb X1600 with 2 gig of ram

Installed more games and they run fien too, so you should have no problems

That's when (supposedly) Lepoard comes out. Also I start work in June after school ends. Plus, it gives me tons of time to plan out exactly what I'm gonna save for. Then I get my sweet steam back!
