Hey all, this is my first post. :)

I'm actually wondering what kind of web design software is available for Mac users. I wouldn't mind paying up to $50 or so if it's worth it, y'know?

Just curious!

Rapidweaver, and Apple's iWeb are two that come to mind.

The most simplified, stripped down one comes free with OS X.

Its called TextEdit.

The guy said he was willing to pay up to $50...

Thanks guys. I'm looking into Rapidweaver because it looks incredible.

Any other suggestions? I'm keeping a list of them :)

I'm slowly making headway in my new website ... I've found that goldfish is great - about $35.00 or so...

It's interface that you actively design in is set up like a graphics program - drag and drop, click and go ... it's very simple.

I hate html code - and I'm so new to this deal that I can't stand even trying to get something to look decent by tags...Goldfish is great.

It's listed here un 'template' (this is a great resource, btw you can get almost every program designed for mac - far easier to get around in than the download center at apple.com)

Rapidweave is there, too.

And check out WouldjaDraw - it's a Mac version of an old Win program called MyGem - works on the same idea as Adobe but is faaaar cheaper and easier to use, in my opinion...I've found it's great for website text, especially.

Thank you - one more to try out.

There's one program out there that doesn't cost much - and it comes with your own host when you purchase it...but I can't remember what it's called, nor do I know how dependable that host is.

Yeah, Iweb was no help to me- i had to delete everything and start from scratch.

NVU's great - if I can keep it from crashing and hanging up...I think I need to download it from a different mirror.

Can having too many html editors on your computer cause issues in general? I seem to be having more funky problems the more I download programs to try them out.

*edit*
Forget it - I can't NVU to stay open long enough, and it throws in jarbled html when I publish...
Dreamweaver is tops, i've gotten futher with this than all the others I tried to use.
