I have one of the power mac g3 beige desktops whose built in onboard ethernet port seems to be very inconsistent. I have purchased a new card and put it in, well, after booting it back up and trying to install the drivers and restarting again, I am still not able to use this card. Thanks and hope you can help.

The new card is the Asante FriendlyNet 10/100 Asantefast Ethernet Adapter

Thanks

You now have two ethernet cards on your system. One of the extensions is looking at the first card. You need to point it to the second card. I need to look at my G3 to see which extion you need to work with.

It is working now, thanks for trying to help. I just had to delete the tcp/ip and appletalk preferences. After that I was able to choose my card under both of those control panels.

Thanks
