I'm a little unclear on the compatability of software between the two different hardware platforms.
Will programs written for OS X on the PPC (G4/G5) run on the Intel Macs?
For example, MS Office v.X or Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0.
The system requirements say OS X and a PPC G3-G4-G5, but were these just printed before the advent of the Intel Macs?

Please explain.

Thanks.

Rosetta

So do most apps. run well under Rosetta?
Any different than on my G5?
I just bought Photoshop Elements 4.0 about a month ago. I'd hate for it to be obsolete so quick.

It will open and look the same, it will just run alittle slower and use more RAM

Of course, the intel processors are somewhat faster than some of their predecessor PPC processors (esp G4), so this makes up some of the difference. Not all of it, but enough. And when Universal versions come out ... they'll fly :)
