Updating ipod without using itunes library

I've got no music on my itunes on my mac but my ipod i full, when i recently switched to mac i didnt put music to save space. Is there any software for me to just put a whole cds worth of songs without using itunes and losing all my music on my ipod.

Yes, it's called iTunes Tell iTunes not to sync automatically and you won't lose the music on your iPod. Or if you want to be extra-safe, download Senuti and backup the contents of your iPod back to your Mac first.
