does anybody know where i can find a place to download peer guardian because the one i keep getting doesn't work or does anybody know a good program that protects your ip address

peer guardian?

What kind of protection are you looking for? Your Mac's firewall protects you very well. Can you provide more details on what you are looking for? We can probably help you find it!

well this kid i know suggested to get peer guardian to protect my ip address because i was downloading off a torrent site. so i tried to download it and it didn't work im not sure if that helped haha

No, I'm sorry that hasn't helped me to understand. But then, I am not a torrent user, so perhaps someone who is more torrent-knowledgable could chime in and help?

Well i just googled "Peer Guardian Mac" and was overrun with search results.

Now, as for what peer guardian DOES. it does NOT "protect" or obscure your IP Address, if other peers on bittorrent didn't know your IP you wouldnt be getting any data. Think of an IP as a phone number, they have to dial you to send you anything. What Peer Guardian does is periodically updates a list of known RIAA/MPAA/FBI/OMGWTFBBQ IP addresses and does not allow connections to those IPs

I too installed peerguardian this evening thinking it was a firewall
it has however cut access to youtube
i dont know if its directly responsible but i get the following error
now i looked into the program
i believe it just protects me from ip phishing so to speak
