I am using UnRarX and have dowloaded a file that refuses to open. Extension says it is a RAR file which is 143 meg in size. This is the error message I keep getting.
Any ideas what is wrong or how to work around it?? I have done a search but nothing seems to be of help.

Stuffit works for everything for me. Never had any problems with it. I'd try for a new copy of the file also.

MaDDoG this is a corruption error. I have seen this a few times.. actually more than a few (**** .zip files >.< ). Regardless, unless you have a .zip recovery tool such as Recovery Toolbox (or can locate an opensource one that i am unaware of) you will need to retransmit your .zip file.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad new :(

EDIT: sorry about the profanity... my bad >.<

Not necessarily corrupted. If the file is password protected you will get that message in UnRaX and Unarchiver will refuse to open it.
Where did you get the Rar file from? Normally the password will be at the place you downloaded from.
