Hey, I've been thinking about getting a nice 20"-25"ish TV for my room; just wondering if anyone has any comments about their experience with the Apple Cinema Displays. I have both a media center PC and a DirecTV tuner, so it's not problem that the monitor doesn't have one built-in.

Also, am I correct in assuming that the 23" Apple HD monitor is technically higher resolution than a big 1080p LCD or DLP? If so, would I be able to display a normal 1080p signal on it since it's not exactly the same aspect ratio (16x9 vs. 16x10 or 15x9, I think)?

I don't see the point in buying a apple 23inch cinema display when you can get a 37 inch plasma for the came price, if you are just going to use it as a tv.

Apple displays are not good TVs. Buy an LCD or Plasma TV for the same price.
