Hey there,

I just wondered if anyone could give me some advice. I downloaded Second Life (extremely curious) but when I turned it on my MacBook Pro's fans started going crazy. I'd never really noticed them before but they were whirring VERY loudly and getting louder so I quit it and the fans slowed down.

I'm using a brand new MacBook Pro 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 1Gb of RAM.

Just wondered if this is normal or if I should be worried?

Thanks

Shark

i couldn't even get it to run on my macbook (not pro).

i'm guessing it's pretty cpu intensive. did you check the system stats (cpu, memory usage, etc) when it was running?

Actually I didn't check them because I was too concerned with the noise coming out of the machine!
