I was just looking to get a refurbed MacBook 1.83GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. My budgets around $1k, and I saw on the applestore they had refurbs for about $950. I really don't plan on doing a whole lot really since I already have my iMac. Really, the intent is just to have the computer in the living room and also to bring w/ me on flights. Is that a good deal?

I got a macbook intel core 2 duo 2.0 ghz. Being a student they are really portable and I carry it around. Ideal as well if you have a wireless internet round your house. depends what your going to use it for really. I use mine for university work and writing c and java programs. But they are really well designed machines.

I think it is a good deal. MacBooks are fairly new so this refurb one is almost as new, I think.

I got my MacBook last December 2GHz 120GB and have been enjoying it after using a pc notebook for 5 years.

Like Hagios said it sounds like quite a new one as the C2D only came out at the start of November last year, I say go for it!

It is a great machine I have the exact one, but I increased the ram to 2Gb.

I like you also have an iMac so between the two machines you should have almost everything that you require.
