Making View Options Permanent

Whenever I connect my iPod, when I go to the "music" area, I am showed a whole bunch of stuff that I don`t really care for. If I were to change the view options right then and there is fine,but, as soon as I disconnect and reconnect the iPod, it "forgets" the view options I wanted.

How can this be solved?

My iPod is a 1Gig Nano.
