Recently I was had my ipod connected to my computer, then all of a sudden it froze and it had a sad face on the ipod screen. Since then, I have tried resetting it several times and tried reinstalling the ipod updater (which I can't really do because itunes won't recognize my ipod and says it's corrupt). I finally decided to go ahead and restore it, but that doesn't even work. It quits restoring half way though. (I tried 4 times!) The best I can get is a file folder with an exclamation point to show up on the screen. Any help?

It sounds to me like a hard drive issue.. have you looked at these links to see if they are of any help?

I have tried all of that and more. I even read a blog where it said to slap the back of the ipod, so i tired that, too. None of this is working for me. A couple of friends have told me they think I need a new hard drive.

go to www.ifixipodsfast.com

There you can spend $6.50 to send it in to them and they will tell you what your issue is. From there you can choose to fix it or have it sent back to you.. In my opinion its worth the $6.50 to see what the issue is..
