One of the reasons I went to Apple was work with digital pictures and share them with my family

I just burned a slide show to dvd and enjoyed every step of the process. The Macbook is cool.

Now my question can the DVD be viewed on a PC the same way it appears on my Mac?

Also I want to buy a book that shows all the key strokes and essential information to get around on my Mac. Any suggestions for someone who is a user not a programer, would be appreciated.

the dvd will appear the same in every dvd player including hardware and software ones (windows included)

I highly recommend getting Mac OS Tiger: Missing Manual. I bought it and it's just chock full of useful information on how to use your Mac. It covers all the major aspects of the OS and has lots of little hints and tips strewn about the book. Definitely a must-read for new users of Mac OS X.

I didn't realize I could play the DVD I created on a regular dvd player it was so straight forward. I'm really happy with the results from my MacBook

Try ebay or Amazon for great prices on the manual. I just got mine and I'm really glad I ordered it. Huge volume and very full of useful info.
