UGH! Can barely hear movie even when speaker is over half??

im in the dvd movie player im watching a brand new dvd..nothing is wrong with the cd..

ok now the sound on this machine is sooooo low is this normal??


i have to set the audio at full capacity for it to even sound normal...

im not expecting some AMAZING sound but i am however expecting at least something that is audible when its set over half capacity....

any ideas?

make sure you're checking volume on the player AND the system.

the speakers aren't that great, but you should be able to hear them pretty well starting around 1/3 to 1/2 of the potential volume setting.
