Don't think anyone has linked to this before...

Erika Jonietz from MiT’s Technology Review has posted a review of Windows Vista that is well worth a read to any Mac fan.

Clicky

Ironically, playing around with Vista for more than a month has done what years of experience and exhortations from Mac-loving friends could not: it has converted me into a Mac fan.

Very interesting read. Sure glad I chose Mac last month rather than go with a Dell and "wait" for the Vista download (which I considered). My best computer decision yet!

What I really loved about this article was the comments on only being able to run some very small apps with even 1G of memory. Basically, you need a super computer to run Vista! Microsoft's tendency to software bloat is clearly alive and well. Here's to hoping that Leopard doesn't follow suit!

I really liked the article as well. A very interesting read.

Pretty much sums up why I didn't want Vista. I would have to get a brand new PC. If I need Windows, I can get Parallels or something...and I haven't found a reason to go back to Windows.

Yay for Macs.

I switched about a month ago and haven't used my PC for much besides gaming and Quicken since. I love my Mac.

I agree Vista will be a hardware hog but I'm hopping to have some success with it on my Mac Pro. I have the specs to make it money. I'm just waiting for it to get released then I will do a review for eveybody and I promise it will a fair & balanced review(Like Fox News). If it is bad I will report so but if it runs good I will report that also. I'm just a computer hobbyist so I like all kinds of new stuff.

This is exactly why I am switching to a Mac. I have heard numerous reviewers say that Vista really needs a higher performance PC to work correctly.

When any OS recommends 2GB RAM and a 256MB video card to run i think its time to rethink things.

I love my iMac. :)
