Scheduled tasks in OSX ?

Hi I just purchased my Macbook pro and am new to OSX.. What I need is to setup some sort of "task" that would copy a folder to another directory every night at 1m. Anyone know how I can do this or any programs? .. its basically just for making a backup of my files.

Any help would be great.

I am able to get it to copy with automator just not sure how to get it to be "recurring" (everyday at 1:00.)

Cron is a widely used unix scheduler that will run a particular command at a particular time, usually every day, every hour, once a week... that sort of stuff. Since Mac OS X is based on FreeBSD, a unix variant, it comes with cron.

cron is normally a command line utility in the unix world, but for Macs, there are a variety of GUI interfaces. Crontooie, above, is one such interface.

cron is simple, easy to use, and VERY effective. You may wish to consider it.
