I am making the switch from PC to MAC.

Just yesterday, I picked up the refurbed 2.16 CD, 1GB of ram, with 256mb video for $1499 off Apple's site.

However I recently noticed that they now have the C2D Macbook Pro's on there for $1599, however only 128mb video.

For a Macbook that will dual boot with Vista, dabble in some Photoshop and video editing, do I really need the 256mb video card in the CD?

Where does the 256mb card, really come in handy over the 128?

Just wondering if I should return it, and wait for another C2D to come along for $1599 and live with the 128mb card.

Thankyou.

Photoshop, video editing and gaming

The c2d would also help Photoshop & video editing and particularly re-encoding as this is primarily processor intense. According to all the reviews I've seen it is a much better processor than the cd.

Overall, you've got a tough choice, hard to say.
Don't know that trading up to the c2d at the same clock speed would be worth giving up half the vram and paying another $100.
Easiest way is to ask, are you happy with the one you have in hand?
