msn messenger webcam chat

is there a version of msn messenger for mac that i can use for webcam chat? I am currently using a macbook

Yes there is. You can get it from the Microsoft site. That takes care of the software side.

The hardware side it a bit more interesting. To use a webcam, vs. using an iSight, you will need a software package from http://www.ecamm.com/mac/ichatusbcam. This enables mostly Logitech webcams to work with your Mac in lieu of an iSight. You will also need the vendor's driver for their web cam. For Logitech, you can get this at www.logitech.com

MSN for Mac does not support isight.

Thanks yogi - I didn't know that. Does it support any web cams on a Mac, or simply doesn't support video on a Mac at all?

I concur with your recommendation on Skype. I use it myself and it is EXCELLENT.

You can always use AMSN. It supports WebCam use on MSN.
