Refurb MB and MBPs in Apple Store NOW

Just ordered a 15 inch Core 2 Duo MBP from the Apple Store for $1599!

True. they do disappear fast. I was trying to snatch a Refurb 2.33 MBP for $1999 on Saturday and by the time I had reached the submit order page, someone else had snapped it up!

How are the cases on the refurbs? If I wanted a White MacBook, would it be cosmetically pristine? I wonder if they swap the cases/keyboard, etc. It would be important to me to get a refurb if it was free of scratches, etc. Then I'd consider it.

Something I have noticed in the past - when you see a lot of good deals on refurbs suddenly show up for a wide range of models from one line... an update to that line is probably near.

The 'when to buy' thing is frustrating. It would help if there was some indication on Leopard's release. For all I know, it'll be released a week after Vista or... April. LOL Sheesh.
