Hi,
I'm thinking of hooking up a Macbook using the DV output with a 37" LCD HDTV.
If the Macbook has a resolution of 1280 x 800 and the HDTV has a resolution of 1366 x 768 is it workable?
Thanks,
Steve

Yeah, I can hook up my Macbook to my LG plasma, which has a resolution of 1024x768, but the picture looks stretched since this is technically a 4:3 resolution, but plasma tvs have wider pixels which makes up for the difference with DVDs, TV, etc. However computer resolutions don't work the same way, and the picture doesn't look right. I still havent been able to find a solution to this problem, and my TV will not accept a resolution of 1280x720. Oh well, you shouldn't have the same issue since your TV has a true widescreen resolution.

I use my macbook with a 50" Sony rear projection LCD TV, and it works pretty good. The TV has a DVI input so it works out well w/ the macbook.
