VPN Connections

How do I connnect to a VPN in OSX

In windows I woudl otmally setup a VPN connection through DUN with the server IP address and user details.

Any help please.

Found through Google three articles that might help you: Mac OS X VPN Solutions, Part 1: Connecting to a VPN, Connecting with Cisco VPN Client for Mac OS X and an O'Reilly's MacDevCenter article, VPN on Mac OS X (a bit dated though as the article explains it though the Jaguar interface but it should be just about the same).

If nothing in there works for you, google up "how to connect with vpn Mac OS X", you'll get plenty of hits and How Tos.

Thanks got it by using the internet app, however how do I connect to a windows share, withint he windows workgroup?

Sorry, someone else will have to reply to that. I have no idea how Windows works at all: the little experience I've had with PeeCees never made me want to pursue using them.

use the "Go" menu in the Finder Go > Connect to Server.

in the box type,..

smb://windows.pc.IPaddress

eg

smb://192.168.1.10

You'll most likely be asked for user/pass
