Podcasts not going to iPod..

I know this has probably been covered a whole bunch.. I did search, and didn't find anything that applies to iTunes 7.. My problem is I enabled the Podcasts item on the main menu of my 5g iPod, but nothing shows up under that. If I go to Music, Genres, Podcasts I find one out of like 15 that I downloaded.. I dug around in iTunes preferences, didn't see much for options..
