I-photo its lost my libary!?!?!

Hi i have recently gone to iphoto to start moving all my photos to adobe bridge and when i have clicked on the icon it has told me that iphoto has no libary and would i like to create a new one!? the files are still on the computer and i can acessthem but why has it done tis? Im new to this so if anyone has any info that might help understand what has happened id be very gratefull
