Hey guys & girls.

Just a quick question,

Is my 20" iMac's monitor HD ready? I can't see anywhere on the Apple site that says whether it is or not?

Regards,

HD is just a higher resolution than your current TV. So when you play a DVD on your computer, it enlarges it so that it fills your monitor, which has many more pixels than a TV. That's why DVDs look better on TVs than monitors.

HD films and HD TV programmes are recorded at a higher resolution (1080 pixels) so they look better. You will still need a Blue Ray or HD player though to run those discs on your Mac though.

Look for trailers on the Apple site - you can watch HD trailers now.
