I've started shopping for a new MacBook Pro and I'm wondering what's the best price I can expect to pay for one? Around $1,500 seems to be about as low as I can find and that's on ebay. Can someone point me to a good low priced source? Thanks.

Apple price locks their products so any reseller will be very close to apple's price.

Don't know what deals they have running now, but I bought mine from MacConnection.com ... they were a few dollars (literally) cheaper than Apple direct and no shipping charges (like Apple) but they also:

1. Don't charge sales tax
2. Have (or at least had) a $150 rebate.

All told, I saved almost $300 over buying from the Apple Store or from Apple.com, for a NIB MacBook Pro. The only disadvantage is that you have to buy a standard configuration; if you want to upgrade video, RAM, HD, etc. you have to order from Apple.
