bootcamp /external

Ok, is it possible to install Windows XP on an external drive and install the mac drivers and use it? or does the actual OS have to be on the interal hard drive? or can i partition the external harddrive with boot camp or one to these extents. cuase i know that external hard drives have a much larger failure rate and with windows i only really use it for games and such so if it fails i don't care.

or is the only way i can do this is to just use boot camp and install windows on like a 5gb partition and then just use the external hard drive for all the data?

According to the Apple site, beta 1.12 has the "ability to install Windows XP on any internal drive."

Check here under the Changes in BootCamp 1.1.2 Beta section in the right column.
