My new MBP 17" - 2.33Ghz - 3GB - 200GB arrived today via Fed-Ex, packaged in its sexy, slim, environmentally friendly little box. What a difference from the gargantuan piles of waste/recycling that my last PC came in.

I think I need to go home sick at lunch so I can take this thing out and play with it.

Just tell people at work that you've converted to the Church of Macintosh and today is a high holy day.

Thats why I decided to buy 17", also I am traveling at the moment. Probably for a while before I stop too. So instead of buying TVs when I move I am going for the larger mac, with faster drives. I am not sure what I will do with my current MBP when that day comes. I love it but do I need two? I mean I want two.....

I'm lovin' it

Like the McD's ad says . . . I'm lovin' it!

Got mail set up, imported my bookmarks from my PC, set up some widgets, took a goofy pic of myself, played with terminal so I could feel the unix underpinnings, and this thing rocks!

Now I have to figure out how to get my iTunes music, playlists and database moved without wrecking things. I'd rather not just import all the MP3's and have to re-create playlists, re-establish podcast subscriptions, etc if I don't have to. I have some forum searching to do on that.

God Bless McD's for forcing even native speakers to disregard grammar. I hate McD'd slogan, it's incorrect, and I have to explain to people all the time why! It gets to me.

So true, but if punctuation, grammar and proper use of the language are critical to ones understanding or enjoyment of the content, online forums are a very bad place to find literary fulfillment.

In my job, I constantly return e-mails and documents for spelling, grammar or formatting corrections, but when reading forums, I have to turn off my 'editor' and just appreciate the intent.

I actually found the perfect answer here in this forum under the iPod section:http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49001

It worked like a charm.
