Anyone here had any experience with the Intech ATA Hi-Cap Support Driver for older Macs?
I have a 160G drive I just installed on my iMac DV SE (G3/400) and want to access the whole drive. Is this driver the best answer?
Any other solutions?

Thanks, Glenn

I have heard about the Intech driver but never tried it myself. On the old iMacs that will be the only way you will be able to access the whole drive as there is no other way to add say a PCI HDD controler card. I will do some reading on that driver and get back to you. In theory it should work but never myself tried it.

If I wanted mass storage on my G3 iMac, I'd probably go with a 120gig internal, and then a 500+gig in an external firewire enclosure.

The only thing about an External on the iMac is make sure it's Firewire and NOT USB as the G3 iMacs are USB 1.1 which is VERY SLOW. The DV 400 should have Firewire.
