I have a Xerox 2400 USB scanner that I want to use, but the install disk does not come with Mac software. I had a look on the Xerox website, but it only has Windows drivers. So, I don't think it is Mac compatible.

I plugged it into my PowerBook and in system profiler, it shows up as:
USB Device > USB Scanner
Manufacturer: Primax
Product ID: 0x038b
Vendor ID: 0x0461

So, if my PowerBook is recognising it as a scanner, is it possible to make it work?

This is the scanner:

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I have done a lot of searching and come up blank so far for osx. Only thing that MIGHT work is VueScan. Some Xerox are supported. You can download a trial and see if it will work.

Hope that maybe helps!

Thanks for the suggestion, but VueScan didn't work (it said no scanner connected).

I did try searching google but no luck.

I also tried installing GIMP and trying to import from TWAIN device, but it doesn't seem to have TWAIN drivers.
