I would like to make my student Internet connection wireless with my Airport Express. But I run into problems when trying to configure the base station with the IP, netmask, DNS-servers and so on and my MacBook set to recieve IP address from the Airport (DHCP). I just can't get through to the Internet.

Since I live in a student appartment, I do not have a modem or anything. The ethernet cable is connected directly to the wall. Do I have to have a broadband modem of any kind?

What's the difference of a WAN-port and a LAN-port? The Airport Express seems to lack the LAN-port according to Apples specifications. So, I'm stuck then...?

Please help me in some direction!

Regards Michael
