By the way, if you are using Firefox, you will need to do a little Firefox configuration to get this to happen. Firefox doesn't open your email program when you click on an email link unless you do a little set up. Here is a recipe for the setup:
1/ Go to your home directory's [Library, Application Support, Firefox, Profiles] folder and open your profile folder. It usually has a random-looking name, like Xbcgev.default. To be sure that you are in the correct directory check if a file named "prefs.js" exists
2/ If it doesn't already exist, create a file called "user.js"
3/ Open "user.js" and write this line (if the file already exists place this line at the end):
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.mailto","/usr/bin/thunderbird/thunderbird");
This example uses Mozilla Thunderbird at /usr/bin/thunderbird as the email program. Replace with your favorite email program and executable path.
