I have a question about Safari. I clear the history and it still fills in the names of websites for me. How do I clear the list so it doesn't do that?

I don't see in there where it controls the address bar. Perhaps I used the term autofill incorrectly. I mean the address bar. How do I clear the memory of urls entered. My fiance used my computer to surf the web and a bunch of sites I never visit are in there and I don't want to half to arrow down past them to reach the sites I want to load.

tried that, didn't work though. I swear I cleared it before by clearing the history, but it isn't working...

Try Reset Safari... then. If you customized appearance like change the fonts and stuff, you'll have to redo it though. And it will clear all cookies.

I tried that also. I have no idea why it won't fix it. Agitating....

Are the sites that are autofilling the address bar in any of your bookmarks folders? Safari auto-completes sites that are in your bookmarks and I don't know as there is a way to turn it off
